We can’t believe it’s been 2 years since our Play Work Stay residential workshops! Way back in 2019 we ran a creative residential workshop for young creatives looking to start out on a creative career learning from and listening to creative practitioners, inspirational speakers and workshop leaders share their thoughts on creativity and business.

Marisa, one of the residential attendees, said “The Play Work Stay residential was a really challenging but really valuable experience for me. Being neurodivergent, I did find some of it very overwhelming and anxiety inducing, but the talks were so valuable, and all of the nuggets I did take away and remove off the top of my head kickstarted everything I am creatively today. There was a group based in Leeds creating VR pieces who’s one liner has stuck with me ever since: “You don’t have to be an expert to start”. This is something I now tell myself daily!

Over all it was a fantastic experience and a really valuable one to me and many who attended and if there were another I’d definitely like to attend again.”
