Skipton Watch This Space Overview

After the success of our Watch This Space project back in phase one, we’re supporting HAZ (Heritage Action Zone) to develop it further, specifically targeting Skipton businesses and organisations. By the end of the project, we’re aiming to have developed a network of spaces in Skipton to support creatives and community groups to deliver creative activity including evening events, clubs and performances. Our aim is for independently led activity taking place in network spaces and a legacy that can be continued and developed in years to come.

To achieve this, we will establish a network of venues and heritage spaces which are available for creative activity in Skipton town centre, facilitate activities in these spaces led by local creatives and community groups and work with established events to deliver fringe activity in spaces in the town centre.

Our Watch This Space Project Manager, Emily Wilson, was appointed back in October 2021 and has also been working on developing a brand and website for WTS, identifying spaces and working to establish connections within Skipton to use as a foundation from which the project can grow.
