Skipton Now Cultural Festival
Skipton HAZ, in partnership with Skipton BID, GPLD, Skipton Town Council and Skipton Town Hall are thrilled to announce the launch of their first heritage and culture event ‘Skipton Now Festival’ happening across Skipton throughout the whole of August.
This exciting new festival will feature multiple cultural projects HAZ have recently funded culminating in a celebration of two years of work from these groups, including Fresh Perspective, Dogs’ Dales, Watch This Space, Skipton Library, Soundtrack to Skipton and Craven Music Match.
There will also be a variety of activities, trails, walks, talks and events run by a range of different groups and individuals including Yorkshire Day, live paint-by-numbers mural painting, Yarndale woolly workshops, film nights, music performances plus much more!
The full programme will be available soon both in-print and on the Welcome to Skipton website which will be updated regularly.
The festival will also feature work from young creatives in the area through the various micro-commissions facilitated by GPLD and Skipton Town Hall, inspired by the rich history and heritage of Skipton and presented in a variety of different art forms.
