Nurturing Creatives Micro-Commissions - Great Place Lakes & Dales

At the end of January 2022, we announced applications for our new Nurturing Creatives Micro-Commissions. Open to individual creatives or groups looking to develop an artistic piece of work to be exhibited in 2022, they offer a chance for 16- to 34-year-olds to expand on any ideas in response to the pandemic, and/or those that explore the relationship between wellbeing, creativity, and the rural landscape.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to showcase their work through our partners including Brewery Arts; Craven Arts; Settle Stories and Skipton Town Hall. Inspiration can also be taken from our existing events and initiatives such as Aerial; Hinterlands; Folded Zine and Fresh Perspective. We’re currently reviewing the applications so stay tuned for more information on our social channels! Commissions will form part of a small touring exhibition in various venues as well as being part of an online digital exhibition.
