Meet Josh! The second of our wonderful speakers who we’ll catch up with at @ryp2018’s Ideas cafe ‘People, Place, Perspective’.
👋”Hi, I’m Josh! I’m a Kendal based artist, maker and performer. I also run The Art Mill, at Mealbank in Kendal, home of the upcycling initiative @ragtag_community_scrapstore, and studio base for emerging artists, along with my sister, Emily Dewhurst.
I moved to Kendal, where Emily had already settled, after growing up in the south of England and completing a degree in fine art, travelling and spending time with a circus – I cycled to East Germany and joined a ragamuffin group of Europeans and we travelled around making street shows which were a mixture of circus, theatre and music.
My sister and I kept saying we should collaborate on something, so I came to Kendal and we started Ragtag!”
🤝Josh is one of our Creative Champions and has worked with us on a few projects in the past.
🗓Join the conversation on 30th November, 6pm – 7pm.
