Last month we saw Steph and the Kendal College Art and Design students take over @comida_kendal with their butterfly display for our Watch This Space project, however this month @marisacraneart is taking up residence there for 48 hours to create an inclusive artist studio open to young creatives who may otherwise struggle to get studio space.
On 26th and 27th April, the space will be open to all young artists and creatives who need a space to work, create and even collaborate together to create a large multi-media installation at the end.
On the final day of the residency the public will be invited to view any work the artists have created and want to share in a gallery-style temporary exhibition. Numbers will be limited so the space will be Covid-safe and audiences are welcome to stay as long as they please.
If you’d like to collaborate and use the space for your artistic practice for the 48 hours, please get in touch with Marisa either through her Instagram page @marisacraneart or by emailing marisacraneart@yahoo.com. For anyone just wanting to view the artwork, keep your eyes peeled on the 27th April and head down to @comida_kendal.
