Matilda Walden

Creativeness, talent and giving back to the community must run in the Walden family! Billy’s younger sister and GPLD Creative Champion Matilda Walden recently beat the world record for the fastest time to assemble a Mr Potato Head, completing the challenge in an impressive 5.69 seconds! She managed to raise a large amount of money for the charity SELFA who have been supportive of Matilda over the years. ‘SELFA’ is a local charity in Skipton and Craven supporting children and young people.

On top of this, Matilda recently won the intermediate category for Skipton Rotary Club’s Young Photographer competition, is busy performing with Settle Musical Theatre and is a cadet at Bentham Fire Station! To celebrate all her achievements, Matilda was also nominated for a Craven Community Champion Award in the Young Citizen of the Year category and we’re thrilled to announce she won!
